Wentworth Health Service Redevelopment

The Wentworth Health Service Redevelopment is located in the Far West region of NSW, close to the Victorian border. The project will include full asset replacement of the existing 80 year old health service building and infrastructure, along with additional health services in line with contemporary models of care and the ongoing needs of the local area.

NBRS are engaged by Health Infrastructure from the Masterplanning stage. Prior to that NBRS have completed a preplanning study for the project.

The facility includes the following.

  • Total of 19 beds Acute, Sub-Acute, TACPbeds and Palliative Care suite
  • A large dining and lounge area with view towards river
  • A family room adjoining outdoor courtyard space to allow for large groups if necessary
  • The new Urgent Care Centre incorporating a Triage and treatment spaces including a resuscitation area, a treatment bay and a treatment room.
  • The Community Health/Ambulatory Care area including General Practitioner (GP) Services with Consult and Interview Rooms.
  • Landscape design incorporating connection with country elements such as yarning circle and native plants.

The project will be delivered in 2-stages with the entire hospital building single-staged construction and small civil works around ambulance entry in the second stage. The project is currently in the delivery phase expecting completion by end of 2024.
